오디오 피크, 다이내믹 레인지 및 클리핑 감지기

Inspect peak level, average RMS, dynamic range, and digital clipping without uploading your audio. Analysis runs locally in a MediaBunny worker.

Audio dynamics inspection guide

지원되는 오디오 형식

Open common compressed, lossless, and recording files directly in your browser. Whether a file can be decoded depends on its internal codec and your browser, not only its filename.

MP3

A practical choice for music, voice notes, podcasts, and everyday sharing.

WAV

Uncompressed PCM audio for recording checks, mixing, and editing workflows.

M4A / AAC

Efficient audio often used by phones, Apple devices, and mobile apps.

FLAC / OGG / Opus

Lossless libraries and efficient open audio formats for music or voice.

How to check peak level, dynamics, and clipping

No account, installation, or upload is required. The audio file stays in the browser on your device.

  1. 01

    오디오 파일 추가

Drop a file into the upload area or browse your device. Files up to 500 MB are supported.

  2. 02

    Read the headline metrics

Compare sample peak, RMS level, and peak-to-RMS dynamic range to understand the overall level.

  3. 03

    Inspect red waveform regions

Red windows indicate samples at or above −0.01 dBFS. Click the waveform to jump to a suspicious moment and listen.

  4. 04

    Save the metrics

다운로드 a compact JSON report for a production note, handoff, or before-and-after comparison.

When to use an audio clipping detector

A quick dynamics inspection is useful before export, publishing, mastering, or sending a recording to someone else.

Podcast and interview QA

Find overloaded speech, inconsistent recording gain, and clipping before an episode is published.

Music, mix, and master checks

Review peak headroom and dynamic range before upload or before applying further limiting.

Voice-over and online course review

Spot distorted takes in narration before placing the recording in a video timeline.

Archive and delivery checks

Keep a small metrics record alongside source files to make later revisions easier to compare.

Private by design: files are not uploaded

MediaBunny decodes audio and a Web Worker calculates the waveform, clipping map, and level history on this device. The source file is never sent to MediaKit servers. Removing the file or closing the page releases the local URL and worker resources.

FAQ

Audio dynamics and clipping FAQ

내 오디오 파일이 업로드되나요?

No. The file is read and analyzed in the current browser on your device; it is not uploaded to MediaKit.

What does dBFS mean?

dBFS means decibels relative to digital full scale. 0 dBFS is the maximum representable digital sample level, so values are normally negative.

Does a clipping warning always mean audible distortion?

Not always, but adjacent samples close to 0 dBFS can indicate flattening and may sound distorted. Listen at the marked position and keep the original file.

What is a good dynamic range?

There is no universal target. Speech, modern mastered music, classical music, and broadcast material use different ranges. Compare the result with the destination specification and your listening judgment.

Why can a supported file fail to open?

A filename extension does not guarantee its internal codec is supported by your browser. Try a recent browser or first convert the file to MP3, WAV, or M4A.

Does this tool change my audio?

No. This page only analyzes the file. The optional JSON download contains calculated metrics, not the source audio.
