No. Detection and export happen in the browser on this device, so the file never leaves your device.
What do threshold, minimum silence, and padding mean?
Threshold defines how quiet a section must be. Minimum silence avoids cutting short pauses. Padding keeps a little time on each side of a cut so speech sounds more natural.
Why was no silence found?
Room noise may be above the current threshold. Move the threshold toward -15 dB or use a shorter minimum silence and try again.
Why is almost all audio removed?
The threshold may be too high or padding too low. Start again from the Speech/podcast preset, then adjust gradually.
Should I choose WAV, MP3, M4A, or FLAC?
Choose WAV or FLAC for more editing, MP3 for most sharing and uploads, or M4A for Apple and mobile playback. MP3 and M4A are lossy, so keep the source file.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. Use a recent browser, keep the page open for longer files, and leave enough free memory on the device.
