Afbeeldingsformaten die werken met deze OCR

Kies een algemeen webafbeeldingsformaat. Geanimeerde GIF-bestanden worden gelezen als het eerste gerenderde frame.

JPG / JPEG

Great for phone photos, scans, and everyday images.

PNG

Best for sharp screenshots, interfaces, and text graphics.

WebP

A lightweight format commonly saved from the web.

GIF / BMP

Works with legacy files; GIF uses its first frame.

Veel voorkomende toepassingen

Handig voor het vastleggen van dagelijkse tekst

Text in screenshots

Copy error messages, chat excerpts, web snippets, or app interface text.

Scans and notes

Turn scans, class notes, and document photos into searchable, editable text.

Receipts and records

Extract dates, items, and amounts; verify important numbers against the source image.

Multilingual content

Extract the original language first, then move the editable text into a translator or document.

Uw afbeelding wordt lokaal verwerkt

Your source image is passed directly to a Tesseract.js Web Worker in this browser and is not uploaded to MediaKit. The OCR code and selected language model are fetched only when needed; your browser may cache them for later use.

Krijg nauwkeurigere OCR-resultaten

1

Use a clear image

High-resolution images with sharp text and even lighting are easier to recognize.

2

Choose the right language

The right model helps Tesseract distinguish similar-looking letters and characters.

3

Match the layout

Use Sparse text for posters and UI screenshots; use Single block for document paragraphs.

FAQ

Veelgestelde vragen

Is my image uploaded?

No. Recognition runs in a Web Worker on your device. Only OCR code and language data are downloaded when needed.

Which image formats are supported?

JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP are supported, with a 20 MB limit per image.

Which languages are supported?

Choose English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, or Russian.

Why is the first recognition slower?

The OCR engine and selected language model download once. Your browser may cache them, and later runs on this page reuse the loaded engine.

Can OCR preserve the original formatting?

OCR keeps useful line breaks, but complex columns, tables, fonts, and exact spacing may need manual cleanup.

Can I use the result directly?

You can copy it or download TXT. Always verify important names, amounts, and identifiers against the source image.
