How RNNoise cleans a recording

RNNoise analyzes sound in 10 ms frames, uses a lightweight neural network to distinguish speech from steady background noise, and reconstructs a cleaner voice signal.

Sounds it handles best

It works well on steady fans, HVAC, microphone hiss, and light keyboard noise. Heavy echo, overlapping speakers, or already distorted audio cannot be fully restored.

Private on-device processing

Will it change music or ambience?

RNNoise is designed mainly for speech. Use Light strength when music is present to avoid over-suppressing instruments or ambience.

Why is the output a WAV?
