Compression always involves a trade-off, but Medium or High quality plus a sensible resolution usually looks very close to the original. Start from the original file and preview the result before sharing it.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. The compressor runs in your browser. The selected files are passed to local Web Workers for decoding and encoding and are not sent to MediaKit servers.
Which video formats are supported?
You can add MP4, M4V, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP, MTS, M2TS, TS, OGV, DIVX, and XVID files. MP4 and WebM are available as output formats.
How large can a video be?
Each input video can be up to 2 GB. Processing very large files needs enough free memory and may take longer on phones or older laptops.
Should I choose MP4 or WebM?
Choose MP4 when compatibility matters most. Choose WebM for modern browsers and web delivery when a smaller file is more important than legacy device support.
Will it work on a phone?
