Supported input and output formats

Read common MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus, WMA, and AIFF audio, then export WAV, MP3, M4A, or FLAC. Actual input support depends on the codec inside the file and your browser.

WAV / FLAC

Best for editing, mixing, and archive workflows where you want to retain as much detail as possible.

MP3

A compatible, usually smaller choice for everyday playback, sending, and uploading.

M4A (AAC)

A compact option for Apple devices, mobile playback, and sharing.

Multichannel audio

The first stereo pair is swapped; additional channels retain their existing order.

How to swap left and right audio channels online

No installation, account, or upload is needed. Decoding, channel analysis, and encoding run in a background Worker in this browser.

  1. 01

    Add stereo audio

Drop in or choose a file. The page reads it locally and builds two compact channel waveforms.

  2. 02

    Check the channels

Use the left/right waveform and mapping cards to spot a reversed recording. 모노 files are clearly identified.

  3. 03

    출력 형식을 선택하세요

WAV and FLAC work well for further editing; MP3 and M4A are convenient for sharing. Select a bitrate for compressed output.

  4. 04

    미리보기 및 다운로드

Listen to the export, confirm the direction in headphones, and download when it is correct.

When should you swap stereo channels?

Channel swapping changes where left and right play; it does not change the duration, speed, or mix content.

Reversed cables or interfaces

Quickly correct a recording when an audio interface, monitoring setup, or capture device had left and right inputs reversed.

Video and location sound

Restore more natural spatial placement when the direction of sound in headphones conflicts with the picture.

Music and DJ material

Create a corrected version when instruments, audience, or ambient stereo placement is backwards.

Podcasts and courses

Match a two-person recording to the on-screen positions without altering speech or timing.

Your audio never leaves this device

This page uses the File API, MediaBunny, and a Web Worker to analyze, swap, and encode audio locally. Source files are never sent to MediaKit servers; removing the file, closing the page, or cancelling work releases local URLs and Worker resources.

FAQ

Audio channel swap FAQ

내 오디오 파일이 업로드되나요?

No. There is no upload step. The file is read and processed only by a Worker in this browser.

Does swapping channels reduce quality?

The swap itself is a channel reorder. WAV and FLAC are suited to high-quality editing output; MP3 and M4A require lossy re-encoding.

Can I use a mono file?

Yes, but mono has no separate left and right channels to exchange, so the original mapping is retained.

What about 5.1 or other multichannel audio?

Additional channels can be preserved, but this tool swaps only the first stereo pair. Confirm the channel layout in a professional workflow.

Why can’t I open some audio files?

Support depends on whether your browser can decode the codec actually used in the file. Update the browser or convert the file to WAV, MP3, M4A, or FLAC first.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Use a recent browser, keep the page open during large jobs, and leave enough device memory available.
