Your image is processed locally

The source image is passed directly to a Tesseract.js Web Worker in this browser and is not uploaded to MediaKit. OCR code and the selected language model are fetched when needed, then the model can be cached by your browser.

  3. 03

    Recognize and export

Run OCR, review the editable result, then copy it or download a TXT file.

Get more accurate OCR results

1

Use a clear image

High-resolution images with sharp text and even lighting are easier to recognize.

2

Choose the right language

Selecting the language helps Tesseract interpret similar-looking letters correctly.

3

Match the layout

Use Sparse text for posters and UI screenshots; use Single block for document paragraphs.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. Recognition runs in a Web Worker on your device. Only OCR code and language data are downloaded.

Which languages are supported?

This page includes English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Russian options.

Why is the first recognition slower?

The OCR engine and selected language model must be downloaded once. Your browser can cache them for later use.

Can OCR preserve the original formatting?

OCR keeps useful line breaks, but complex columns, tables, fonts, and exact spacing may need manual cleanup.
