How it works
Protect only the details you choose
Add a separate region for each sensitive detail. Preview the result before exporting, then download a new image without sending the original anywhere.

- 04

Export a new protected image locally and review it before sharing.
Supported image formats
Use the format that matches your source. The downloaded file can be exported as PNG, JPG, or WebP.
JPG / JPEG
Photos and screenshots
Compact and widely supported. JPG output uses a white background for transparent sources.
PNG
Text and transparency
Lossless output that preserves sharp text and transparent areas.
WebP
Smaller web images
A good balance of quality and file size for modern websites.
WebP / AVIF / GIF / BMP
Accepted inputs
Common browser-readable images up to 50 MB. Animated inputs are exported as a still image.
Common use cases
Privacy-safe screenshots
Hide email addresses, chat messages, order numbers, API keys, or notifications before sharing a tutorial.
Faces and license plates
Cover a face, vehicle plate, badge, or house number in a photo for a quick privacy edit.
Product and portfolio work
Hide unreleased product details, customer data, or private dashboards in a presentation image.
Social and community posts
Prepare event photos, street scenes, and user-generated images before posting publicly.
How private is the processing?
The selected file is decoded and rendered with browser Canvas APIs on your device. The source and exported image stay in this tab; nothing is uploaded or stored on our servers. Clear the file or close the tab when you are finished to release memory.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will my image be uploaded?
No. The image is decoded, processed, and exported locally with browser APIs. It is not sent to MediaKit or a third-party server.
Can I protect more than one area?
Yes. Add up to six independent regions. Select an area from the settings panel, then move or resize it in the preview.
Which effect should I use?
Blur is softer and blends into the image. Pixelation makes the hidden area more obvious and works well for text or small details.
Does this detect faces automatically?
No. This tool gives you manual control so you can choose exactly what to hide. Move and resize a region over each detail you want to protect.
Which output format should I choose?
PNG is best for lossless quality and transparency, JPG is broadly compatible and usually smaller, and WebP is useful for modern websites.
Can I blur an animated GIF?
The first frame is used for the preview and the export. Use a video tool if you need to protect moving content frame by frame.
Is the blur permanent?
The downloaded image contains the rendered effect. Still review the full result before publishing, especially around high-contrast edges.
